Taiwan International Ports Corporation (TIPC) launched its official Container Transfer Scheduling System (CTSS) website and mobile app on December 21st, 2020 to further improve operations at TIPC’s commercial ports and speed containerized cargo transfers. To maximize the use of this new platform across port operations, TIPC has announced an incentive program to reward shipping companies, truck drivers, and container yard operators that log in and use the CTSS platform.
The incentive program, running from August 6th through October 31st, 2021, is open to shipping companies that use the CTSS website and truck drivers (including independent operators) who download and use the CTSS mobile app. Shipping companies that issue a minimum number of dispatch instructions via the CTSS website over a one-month period are eligible to earn incentive-program subsidies. Moreover, for drivers that use the CTSS mobile app to submit forecasts, the top-ten submitters each month will earn redeemable e-vouchers. Please scan the QR code below for full program details.
With regard to container yard operators, those that adopt the CTSS as their front-end forecasting platform and interface it with their yard management system may submit an application to the TIPC “Port Smart Innovation Applications and Digitalization Incentive Program”. Approval will earn applicants a subsidy covering up to 30% of their related investment expenditures up to a maximum value of NT$3 million.
The core value of the TIPC CTSS system is its ability to streamline the connections among shipping companies, container truck drivers, and container yard operators. Shipping companies issuing dispatches and drivers uploading forecast data (EIR, CLP) to the system help container yards schedule related work more efficiently and accurately, which will reduce driver downtimes and congestion at these yards. Moreover, the inclusion of real-time video data related to the current status of Port of Kaohsiung’s automated gate system, wharf activity, and container-yard access roads has put critical new information on the entire Port of Kaohsiung service area at the fingertips of CTSS users, further increasing the efficiency of container transfers and transportation at the Port of Kaohsiung.
