The primary purpose of Tourist Bus Business Survey is to collect essential data of tourist buses in Taiwan, including operations and basic information on drivers and companies. The information will be used to serve as a reference for managing tourist bus industry and for transportation planning. 
       At the end of 2023, there were 888 Tourist Bus Carrier companies, and 13,720 tourist buses in Taiwan. According to the 2023 Tourist Bus Business Survey, the average operating revenue per bus was NT$1.069 million, which represented an increase of 10.7% compared to 2021. In addition, more than 60% of companies stated that the revenue was growth from 2022 to 2023. On the other hand, more than 50% of companies experienced driver shortages in 2024.
      Observing the drivers, 97.9% of the tourist bus drivers at the end of 2023 were male. The average age of drivers reached a record high of 52.7 years old.
