2022 National Travel Survey:Travel Patterns of The Dual Users.
According to the 2022 National Travel Survey(NTS), males accounted for 58.1% of the cell phone sample, which is 8.8 percentage points higher than the 49.3% of males in the landline sample.
80.6% of the landline sample is dual users, meaning they have both a landline and cell phone, while only 52.5% of cell phone sample is dual users. After combined data with weighted estimates, dual users accounted for 52.6% of the sample.
Among the dual users, the rate of travel out on the day before the survey day is 78.6%. Among those dual users who traveled out, 15.0% used public transportation, 72.5% used private motor vehicles, and 12.5% used non-motorized transportation.
